Behance is a platform for creative people and teams to showcase and discover creative work. It is a product of New York-based company Behance Inc which has also created other services meant to organize creative people and support creative careers. During the first month of 2013 AmbientLife has had two projects featured in their featured ‘Discover Creatives’ front page area after being chosen and voted for by the users and followers of the site. Predominately the site is favoured by Art Directors and Marketing based professionals looking for new and existing talent to work with on potential new commercial projects and features the work of not only professional photographers but also art illustrators and graphic artists. At Behance AmbientLife has its own client area and we showcase our new work on a regular basis attracting interest from around the globe.

We are very pleased to announce that the work of UK Commercial Photographer Tim Wallace has been chosen to be entered for this years UK Car Manufacturer Photographer of the Year Awards. The awards are held in London each year and celebrate all aspects of achievement within the UK car Industry and Tim was very fortunate to have won this Photographer of the Year Award last year so to be entered for a second year is a truly fantastic achievement that we are very happy to announce.
This years chosen area is parts and quality and some of the work that has been selected for entry under Tim’s name is shown below. The work includes photography that has been shot for both Aston in the UK and Mercedes in Germany during the last 12 months.
We wish all those that have had work selected the very best of luck with this years awards.
Below is the winning photograph that gained us this prestigious award in 2010 and was collected by Brian Spearman of Aston at the London awards ceremony on behalf of Tim Wallace as he was in Europe ironically shooting one of this years entries at the time and so was unable to attend himself in person.
We are really delighted to share with you that Ambient Life have this week been announced as the winner of the Best Creative New Business at the 2011 Annual Business Awards.
The awards are held each year in the North East and celebrate the best in new business across the region in categories such as marketing, innovation, creative industry, environment, and manufacturing.
The award dinner and ceremony were held this week and hosted by Wendy Gibson from the BBC.
Tim Wallace (founder of Ambient Life) “This is a fantastic achievement for Ambient Life and we are very proud indeed to have received this award, more so because it is awarded to us in our home area of the North East of England. I started the company 4 years ago with a very definite business plan to strive to create and promote the very best in commercial photography. 4 years on we are ahead of that plan and have some wonderful clients within our family such as Aston Martin, Land Rover, Morgan, and Kenwood. It has certainly been a roller coaster ride over the last few years and to get any business off the ground is hard work not at least in the current climate but I firmly believe that a mix of a firm but simple approach of offering a high quality product to our clients along with a sound business like approach has seen us gain a good hold in our market, and I hope this will continue to encourage our growth over the coming years with new exciting projects. You can never sit back and just wait for clients to come to you, the key for me is to find your own unique approach to market and be fully committed to achieving the best success that you can not only for your own business but for that of the businesses that you are connected and work within, promoting growth and success, small cogs that work together to achieve that exciting and inspirational end result.”
Tonight saw the annual EEF Motor Industry Manufacturing Awards being held at the prestigious Merchant Taylors Building in Central London. The awards were given by BBC’s Declan Curry and covered many sectors through out the Manufacturing Process. Tim was awarded the best professional photography for his work for client Aston Martin.
EEF is the most powerful force backing UK manufacturing. Powering its growth with potent thought leadership. Making it fit for the future be effective in the present with switched-on business services, and representing its interests at the heart of government. When manufacturing gets moving, EEF is its engine
Tim – “This is great honour and I am absolutely delighted to receive this from the Industry that we all care about so passionately within the UK. I shoot commercially for some of the very best names and traditions within the UK motor industry today such as Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, and Morgan. The car industry within our country has a very recognisable past but it is what we do today that makes the biggest difference in driving to forwards into a brighter tomorrow so that the UK can remain globally one of the driving forces within the automotive industry.
I was unfortunately not able to pick up the award myself as at that time I was in the air over Germany due to work commitments however I am very grateful to Aston who sent a colleague, Brian Spearman, on my behalf to pick up the award. It is something that I am very proud to receive and is testament to not only my work but also to the whole team and my clients themselves for allowing me the opportunity and vision to capture their product in my own may to promote their brands and Inspire clients all over the world.”
